AIR CONDITIONER
TUNE-UP SERVICE

“We’re Repairmen, Not Salesmen”

REPAIR | MAINTENANCE | INSTALLATION

Most air conditioner breakdowns in Las Vegas don't come out of nowhere — they build up slowly and quietly until the hottest day of the year. A yearly tune-up catches those problems early, before they leave you sweating.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

WHAT IS AN AIR CONDITIONER
TUNE-UP, EXACTLY?

Think of it like a check-up for your air conditioner. Just like you take your car in for an oil change before something breaks, a tune-up lets us look at everything inside your system and make sure it's in good shape before the Las Vegas summer kicks in.

We're not looking for things to fix or sell you. We're checking that the parts that work hard every day are still working the way they should — and catching anything that's starting to wear out before it becomes a problem at 110° on a Friday night.

The honest truth: Most Las Vegas homeowners who call us in July with a completely broken air conditioner could have avoided it with a $49 tune-up in April. We'd rather save you the stress and the bill.

THINK OF IT THIS WAY…

  • You don't wait for your engine to blow up before you change the oil. You do it regularly to keep everything running. Your air conditioner is the same — it needs regular attention to stay healthy.

  • A quick check-up and cleaning twice a year is much cheaper than a root canal. Catching a small issue early — like a part that's starting to wear — costs a fraction of what it costs after it fails completely.

  • A dirty or poorly maintained air conditioner works harder than it needs to — and that shows up on your power bill. After a tune-up, most systems run more efficiently and use less electricity.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

EVERYTHING WE CHECK
DURING YOUR TUNE-UP

We go through your entire system from top to bottom. Here's what that actually means in plain English.

CLEAN THE COILS

Your air conditioner has coils inside and outside that transfer heat. When they get dirty, your system has to work way harder to do the same job. We clean them so it runs smoothly.

TEST THE AIRFLOW

We measure how much cool air is actually moving through your home. If it's lower than it should be, we find out why — usually a blocked filter, dirty fan, or duct issue.

CHECK THE REFRIGERANT

Refrigerant is the invisible stuff that makes cold air cold. If there's a slow leak, your system gradually stops cooling — we check the levels and look for any leaks.

TEST THE ELECTRICAL PARTS

Your air conditioner has several electrical components that wear out over time. We test them all — especially the capacitor, which is the #1 reason systems fail in Las Vegas summer heat.

CLEAR THE DRAIN LINE

As your air conditioner runs, it pulls moisture from the air. That water drains out through a pipe. When that pipe gets clogged, water backs up and can damage your ceiling. We flush it clear.

CHECK THE THERMOSTAT

We verify your thermostat is reading the temperature correctly and communicating properly with your air conditioner. A thermostat that's off by even a few degrees can make your home uncomfortable and expensive.

TIGHTEN LOOSE PARTS

Vibration from your system over time loosens bolts and connections. We go through and make sure everything is tightened and secure — loose parts are what cause those rattling noises you might hear.

CLEAN THE OUTDOOR UNIT

The big metal box outside your home pulls air through it constantly. Over time it fills with dust, cottonwood, and desert debris. We clean it out so air flows freely and the system doesn't overheat.

GIVE YOU A FULL REPORT

When we're done, we walk you through exactly what we found — in plain language, no jargon. If something needs attention, we tell you what it is, why it matters, and what it would cost. No pressure, ever.

BOOKING A TUNE-UP
IS EASY

The whole thing takes about an hour. Here's what to expect from start to finish.

WHY MR. GATES

WHY LAS VEGAS HOMEOWNERS
TRUST US WITH THEIR SYSTEM

We Won't Sell You Things You Don't Need

Our technicians are not paid commissions on repairs or parts. If your system checks out fine, we tell you that. If something needs attention, we explain why in plain language before we touch anything.

You Get a Written Report Every Time

We don't just do the work and leave. We hand you a written summary of your system's health so you actually know what was checked, what was found, and what — if anything — to watch for.

We Know Las Vegas Systems

Air conditioners in Las Vegas work harder than almost anywhere else in the country. We know which parts fail first in desert heat, what to look for in older systems, and how to keep your unit running through a brutal summer.

We Show Up When We Say We Will

We know your time is valuable. We give you a specific time window and stick to it. No all-day waits. No vague "sometime in the afternoon" appointments.

Your Neighbors — Not a Call Center

When you call us, you reach someone local. Our team lives and works in Las Vegas. This is our community too — and we treat every home with the same care we'd want shown to ours.

SIMPLE ANSWERS

QUESTIONS PEOPLE

USUALLY ASK US

  • If you want the best protection for your system, twice a year (spring and fall) is ideal. In Las Vegas, air conditioners run harder and longer than anywhere else, so regular check-ups matter more here than in most cities.

  • Yes — and that's actually the best time to do it. Most air conditioner problems start slowly and invisibly before you notice anything wrong. By the time your system stops cooling, the damage is already done. A tune-up while things seem fine is exactly when it's most effective at preventing problems.

  • For a standard residential air conditioner, plan on less than 1 hour. Larger homes or systems that haven't been serviced in a while may take a bit longer. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you book.

  • Someone does need to be home to let us in and to go over the report with you at the end — we want to make sure you actually understand what we found. It's also just good practice to be home when any contractor is working at your property.

  • No. Our technicians are not paid commissions on parts or repairs. If your system checks out fine, we tell you. If we find something that needs attention, we explain exactly what it is and what it costs before we do anything. You decide — no pressure, ever. That's what "repairmen, not salesmen" actually means.

  • If we discover an issue during your pre-summer AC maintenance, we’ll explain exactly what we found and discuss your options before any repairs are made. The maintenance service is just $49 per unit, and that fee still applies even if repairs are needed.

The good news is that if you choose to move forward with the recommended repair, you’ll receive 10% off the repair cost. Our goal is to help you avoid unexpected breakdowns, improve efficiency, and keep your system running reliably throughout the summer.

  • Spring — Feb through May — before the Las Vegas heat arrives. Once the summer temperatures kick in, we get very busy and scheduling can take longer. Booking in spring means you get your pick of times and your air conditioner is ready to go before it's needed most.

  • Yes. We service all major brands including Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Amana, Rheem, York, and more. It doesn't matter what brand you have or how old it is — we can tune it up.
